Haven't had a ton of cravings - I think I've gained weight but popular opinion (including the Dr. says I haven't) but all the same, I'm definitely out of my comfort zone :)
August was a full month. Both Evan's family and my family threw a baby shower - one in Oklahoma and one in Ohio. It was WONDERFUL to see so much family, but short visits and definitely made us miss everyone. Both visits were more than information. LOTS of advice, lots of new information and it came just in time for the realization to sink in that we are HAVING A BABY in 8ish weeks. WEEKS.... crazy.
I would love to list everything we received at the showers, but it's too much and just anyone who reads this, know that 1. I feel incredibly lucky to have such amazing people in our lives that are so generous and 2. Thank you cards will come soon. Promise :) Here is a quick recap of the showers:
Oklahoma - Kristina and Kathy (Evan's mom and sister) threw this amazing shower. Got my favorite pizza, Uncle June was in town, people came on their lunch breaks - which was amazing and it was so, so great to see so many people. We love visiting OK, we really get to see the entire family almost every time we're there. It's driving distance, we can bring the dogs and this time, we had a cousin day at the Maxie's with Jessica, Brittany and Patrick - which was kind of amazing and might be one of my favorite visits to OK.
Side visit to Wichita - sweet Jen got MARRIED!! I got to see BParks and her GORGEOUS little girl
Cincinnati:
I loved eating Cincinnati food finally. I was there for less than 72 hours, ate
I finally met Leland - Ashley's little boy and he was SO good and SO handsome!
And the shower, at my baby sisters house, which is SO cute and just everything and everyone I love. It was amazing. And I'm super impressed with the stuff I fit in my carry-on suitcase to get back here!
The baby
One difference I've learned about Cincinnati vs. Houston - in Cincinnati, I used craigslist for EVERYTHING....everything. In Houston, the few things I've used it for (mostly selling) people are afraid of the "Craigslist killer" - I literally am asked about the CL killer every time I mention that I'm using Craigslist to get or get rid of things. It's funny.... oh, the south....
It's been over 100 degrees with no rain for at least 2 months. THAT has been reeeeally fun for pregnant me but today it was 86 and that was wonderful.
I feel like I had some real updates and I even looked through my phone at pictures to see if anything would trigger... and it didn't. So - this turned out to be more of a rambling than a real update and when my brain is fully functioning again - I'll put out a real update :)
Much love
